GCF MEN’S FELLOWSHIP
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. Our meetings continue through May.
This is an open forum guided by the leader and open to all men. It is commonly a small group, but its content is big, not like most Bible studies or home groups! The men are real and very candid about life and their struggles. Our conversations can get pretty raw and convicting. The icebreaker discussions vary quite a bit over job issues, family, nuclear physics, politics, science, sports, and more. The group leader puts these commentaries and chosen subjects into scriptural contexts of Bible times and how they apply to us today. Each person is given time to speak their piece as time permits. The hour and a half seems to just fly by.
The emphasis is to challenge each man to take the next step in our Christian walk and our relationship with Father God and those around us. We are challenged to see Christ in the mirror and look for the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives...the true sign of maturity. We also pray for each other and our loved ones.
It is often said, “If you have a blind spot, guess why you can't see it?” Precisely the reason we need one another to (graciously and lovingly) help us discover our blind spots and encourage repentance and confession.
Come out and be challenged in your faith with other brothers in Christ. If you have questions, talk to Jon Stellema at church or call him @ 616.318.8357.
