OMNI-POTENT –
Part 5
The Infinitude of God in relation to
Power
Ps. 62:11
God hath
spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs to God.
Gen. 17:11
Mark 14:62 (K.J.)
Jesus
said, “I am.
And you will see the Son of Man
sitting at the right hand of the Power,
and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
Jeremiah 32:17, 27 (AMP)
Alas,
Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the
earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too
hard or too wonderful for You…
Behold,
I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me?
Gen. 18:11-14
…And
the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a
child, since I am old?’ Is anything
too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to
the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
OMNIPOTENCE
- What it’s Not
James 1:13 (KJV)
Let
no one say when he is tempted,
“I am tempted by God”;
for God cannot be tempted by evil,
nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
Num. 23:19 (NKVJ)
“God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken,
and will He not make it good?
Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life which
God, who cannot lie,
promised before time began.
2 Tim. 2:13
If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself.
